Is this fractional ownership?Updated a year ago

No. By purchasing through a shared multisig wallet, each member co-owns and co-manages the entire body of artwork that is collected. This is opposed to a fractional model where investors can buy shares in an individual artwork that have no utility besides potential appreciation.

At Tribul we believe that art is not a passive investment, which is why we decided to build a co-management framework for collective ownership rather than a fractional model. When art is fractionalized, individual purchasers of those fractions simply wait on the sidelines for a centralized institute to sell the work and return any profit. With a tribe, collectors have direct decision-making power with regard to which art they buy, when they sell, and where the art is stored/exhibited.
